This outside heater-concept is derived from a regular common coal barbeque. What fueled it’s conception ;) was the frustrating fact that you needed to store the BBQ inside in the winter since there is no need for it when it’s freezing cold. On the other hand people are buying (or make you buy) a propane outside heater for wintertime use. Wouldn’t it be better to change the barbeque so it could act as a heater in winter while possibly still running an coals? You wouldn’t need to buy an extra 300€ product nor would you need storage space since this product could have a place outside all year long. The solution to this problem was (stunningly) easy: Add some stovepipes and perforate the top one. Add a mesh inside which will hold the coals in place and reverse the bowl and place it on top. I’v tested this and the results where quite impressive. And might well be improved if this idea gets some more attention and playtime.
